[unpaid/sample] It’s a while since I tested anything with quite so much pigment – the newly reformulated HUDA Beauty Liquid Matte Liquid Lipsticks are absolutely saturated which on the one hand is wonderful for a full-on look and on the other makes them need completely meticulous application.
I found it quite difficult, even with the slender doe’s foot applicator, to get the precision this needs so you probably should have a lip brush on hand and although I rarely say it, a lip liner to help you with a seamless outline to fill. I think a clear lip liner would work really well for this.
Once the colour is on your lips, it is not going anywhere. I think you’d have to be rubbing your mouth in salad dressing to shift it (although I did not test for that!). As soon as you apply, it starts to set but not in an uncomfortable or tight way – it’s really a very flexible, ultra thin formula on the lips and neither does it feel particularly filmy thanks to a complex containing vitamins A and E and lycopene. In the picture above you have Wifey, Slaytina, First Class and Miss America (the shade I tried).

A few images in Miss America. I mean, I like it on me, but matte is not my finish and I found it hard to apply perfectly. These pictures show exactly how it applied using the doe’s foot only and before any touching up. If you love the application ritual and are prepared to put the effort in, the finish is stunning and durable and I think the HUDA Beauty Liquid Mattes are reasonable value for the quality at £18 HERE.

What is the point of showing swatches and listing the names but not saying which swatch matches which name? It’s pretty basic to write the names of the shades in the order shown on the photo while a quick note of (L-R) or (top-bottom).
I always swatch bottom to top. I think if you’d wanted clarification you could have just asked – but anyway, thanks for your tips.
