Milk futures, cash dairy trade mixed

Milk futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange closed mix Friday on position squaring ahead of the Monday holiday.

January Class III milk down four cents at $20.28. February 12 cents lower at $22.08. March a dime higher at $22.43. April up 11 cents at $21.98. May through July unchanged to nine cents higher.

Dry whey unchanged at $0.77.

Blocks down $0.0775 at $1.92. One sale was made at $1.9675.

Barrels up $0.0325 at $1.96. Four trades were made at $1.96 and $1.9650.

Butter down $0.0625 at $2.7250. Twelve trades were made from $2.74 to $2.78.

Nonfat dry milk up $0.0350 at $1.8150. Four sales were made from $1.80 to $1.8150.
