More mild December weather ahead for the Heartland

Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of near- or below-normal temperatures in the Far West, while warmer-than-normal weather will prevail from the Rockies to the Atlantic Coast.

Meanwhile, near- or above-normal precipitation across much of the eastern and western U.S. should contrast with drier-than-normal conditions across Florida’s peninsula and much of the Plains and upper Midwest.
