CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — On Thursday, December 2, and Friday, December 3, from 9 pm until 6 am, all northbound US 181 mainlanes will be closed from Burleson Street to Beach Avenue. The closures are necessary for construction related to the Harbor Bridge Project.
Motorists heading northbound on US 181 will be detoured at the Burleson Street exit and follow the E Causeway Boulevard frontage road to reenter US 181 past Beach Avenue.
Portable message signs will be in place to alert motorists of the mainlane closure and detour route.
Motorists are urged to be aware of the full mainlane closure, consider using alternate routes, follow all traffic control devices, and to slow down in the work zones. All work is weather permitting.
