Packers' Aaron Rodgers says he has a fractured toe, not 'COVID toe'; will play Sunday

Packers News

GREEN BAY -- Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has a broken toe and not the condition medical officials dub “COVID toe.”

To prove it on Wednesday, he lifted his foot and showed those who were viewing his video news conference that he did not have any lesions or discoloring that are common with the condition.

Rodgers said he was disappointed that the Wall Street Journal published a story saying he had “COVID toe” based on some jokes he made on his weekly appearance on the "Pat McAfee Show."

“I expect a full apology,” Rodgers said.

He said on the McAfee show that his small toe was bothering him, but he did not say what the injury was or how it occurred. Asked about it Wednesday, he said, “I have a fractured toe.”
