'The Voice: Blake Shelton's 'bragging,' Kelly Clarkson's 'sweating' after Top 11 reveal

And then there were 11.

The top 13 contestants on "The Voice" laid it all on the line Monday during an emotional dedication episode. The singers surely pulled on the coaches' heartstrings, but did their renditions move America?

Wait no longer. The results are in. 

But before we get to the eliminations, let's talk about about a sweet moment.

John Legend and Kelly Clarkson hit the stage with their teams. A color-coordinated Team Legend sang Stevie Wonder's "Don’t You Worry ’Bout a Thing" in black-and-white outfits. Clarkson then surprised Legend by singing "one of her favorite song" – Legend's "U Move, I Move" – with her team. "He's finding out for the first time," host Carson Daly said.

Now, back to business. Two singers were eliminated and 11 advanced. 

"The Voice" changed its elimination format in this round. In a switch from previous years, there are no safeguards in place to ensure each coach is equally represented in each round. Instead of tabulating viewer votes by each team, the eliminations are based on overall viewer votes. That means some coaches can have larger teams than others.

Clarkson has a slight advantage with four singers each in the Top 11. Blake Shelton has three singers. Legend and Ariana Grande only have two singers on their teams.

Viewers' saves

The 10 artists with the most viewer votes automatically advanced. 

Team Clarkson's sibling trio Girl Named Tom instantly advanced after dedicating a "haunting" rendition of Kansas' "Dust in the Wind" to their grandmother battling dementia. Team Legend's Jershika Maple and Team Grande's Holly Forbes also moved on. 

Host Carson Daly announced two more artists voted into the Top 11: Team Shelton's Wendy Moten and Team Clarkson's Hailey Mia, who dedicated The Pretenders' "I’ll Stand By You" to Clarkson. 

America also saved Team Legend's Joshua Vacanti, Team Grande's father/son duo Jim and Sasha Allen, who dedicated Elton John's "Your Song" to their late cousin, and Team Shelton's Paris Winningham, who sang Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On" for his late grandmother.

Winningam said his grandmother is making all the "angels crazy in Heaven by bragging about him" following his run on the show. Shelton was also busy bragging about all of his singers advancing after Lana Scott was deemed safe.

Team Clarkson's Jeremy Rosado also advanced from overnight votes. 

Wildcard Instant Save

The three artists who received the fewest votes went head-to-head for the wildcard spot in the Top 11: Team Legend's Shadale, Team Grande's Ryleigh Plank and Team Clarkson's Gymani.

Shadale showed off her versatility on Faith Hill's "Breathe." (It was her second country song selection of the week after singing Rascal Flatts' "Life Is a Highway" Monday.)

"You have taken on different challenges every time," Legend said. "You have shown so many aspects of your voice."

Gymani showcased her soulful sound on Anita Baker's "Sweet Love." Clarkson danced along with Gymani during her upbeat performance. 

"I have no idea how you are in the bottom three. It’s blowing my mind," Clarkson said. "I'm sweating right now."

Plank opted for her coach's own "Dangerous Woman," but she got tripped up on Grande's signature high notes. Grande still praised her artist, calling her "an extraordinary human being" with a "heart of gold."

In the end, Gymani advanced to the Top 11.

Eliminations

Shadale and Plank were eliminated after failing to clinch the Wildcard Instant Save.
