"Toy Story" fans are getting another peek at the origin story of its beloved character Buzz Lightyear, the "real" space ranger who inspired the toy, as Disney and Pixar dropped the second trailer Tuesday for its upcoming spinoff movie "Lightyear."

The nearly two-minute-long teaser opens with Buzz, voiced by Chris Evans, preparing to take flight in his spaceship.

"After a full year of being marooned on this planet, our first test flight is a go," Buzz says. "Let’s get everyone home."

Buzz takes off to "Starman" by David Bowie, and the action begins where he's greeted by a "massive robot."

The trailer introduces a new character that's sure to be a hit – and offer comedic relief: a personal companion robot cat named Sox. Sox is voiced by Peter Sohn, according to IMDb

Fans also see a little more of Buzz's space crew. Other voices involved with the project include Keke Palmer and Taika Waititi.

The first teaser for "Lightyear" dropped in October and brought all the nostalgic vibes, despite Buzz being voiced by Evans instead of Tim Allen, who famously voiced Buzz in the "Toy Story" franchise.

In that trailer, Evans' Lightyear jumpstarts his journey to becoming an astronaut and even comes face-to-face with his signature green and purple suit in the final scene.

"Lightyear" is directed by the veteran Pixar animator Angus McLane, who co-directed 2016's "Finding Dory," and produced by Galyn Susman ("Toy Story That Time Forgot" short). The highly-anticipated film is set to hit theaters on June 17.

“The phrase ‘a dream come true’ gets thrown around a lot, but I’ve never meant it more in my life,” Evans said in a statement on social media in October. “Anyone who knows me knows that my love for animated films runs deep. I can’t believe that I get to be a part of the Pixar family and work with these truly brilliant artists who tell stories unlike anyone else. Watching them work is nothing short of magic. I pinch myself every day.”

The "Knives Out" star continued: "Animated movies were an enormous part of my childhood. They were my escape. My adventures. My dreams. They were my first window into the magic of storytelling and performing. To @pixar and @AngusMacLane: 'Thank you' doesn't even come close."
