SD harvest ahead under very dry conditions

More than half of South Dakota corn has been harvested, as of Sunday, while 86% of soybeans have been harvested.

Both are behind last year but well ahead of the average.

Winter wheat planting is also ahead at 95% complete.

Sorghum harvest is 72% complete and 35% of sunflowers have been harvested.

Pasture and range conditions are 79% poor and very poor.
