Harvest pace a week faster than normal in Iowa

The harvest pace in Iowa is about a week ahead of normal.

USDA’s latest weekly crop update says as of Sunday, 70 percent of soybeans and 43 percent of corn is harvested.

Farmers are also doing tillage and applying fertilizer.

Pasture condition is rated 30 percent good to excellent.
