MO harvest continues to be slowed by rain

Missouri harvest continued slow progress last week around wet conditions.
    

USDA says the state’s corn crop is nearly three quarters harvested, 12 percent ahead of last year.

Soybean harvest is now seven percent behind of last year at 30 percent complete. Soybeans dropping leaves is behind at 88 percent. Soybean condition improved one percent to 61 percent good to excellent.

Cotton harvest is eight percent ahead of last year at 32 percent complete. Cotton bolls opening are two percent behind the five-year average at 96 percent. Cotton condition improved last week to 67 percent good.

Rice harvest passed three quarters complete but is still 13 percent behind the average.

Winter wheat planting is two percent ahead of the average at 35 percent with 15 percent of the emerged.
