The shift to distributed work — accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic – has been a success for businesses that embraced new technology to support new ways of working. Citrix research shows that 2/3 of employees whose organizations introduced productivity solutions like digital workspaces and communication and collaboration tools increased employee productivity.

But roughly the same share of employees has also reported that they’re dealing with too many tools and are having to work harder to achieve that productivity. The new tools that were meant to make operations more secure, flexible, and agile have added complexity to the workday and gotten in the way of people doing their best work. Citrix technology can fuel productivity for your entire workforce, eliminating antiquated workflows and unifying your workers’ most important tools so you can ensure a great employee experience.

Here are highlights from our Citrix Launchpad: Work event, where we covered our latest innovations to power team and individual productivity and engagement in Citrix Workspace and a variety of integrations.

Personalizing the Citrix Workspace experience

Employees should feel like they’re part of their organization, even if they’ve never set foot in the office. Our new app personalization in Citrix Workspace delivers a customized experience for employees, across devices. Workers themselves can take advantage of new configuration options that give them control over what’s in the workspace and which tools and features take priority. They can connect to corporate cloud storage and search across services, to support collaboration. We’ve also delivered a new Citrix Workspace browser that gives users rich functionality while giving IT full control and the ability to apply Citrix Secure Private Access policies.

Citrix Workspace and Microsoft Teams Integration

As adoption of hybrid and remote work models has grown since early 2020, many organizations have decided to make Microsoft Teams their collaboration tool of choice. With our integration with Microsoft Teams, organizations can give employees access to the Citrix Workspace app right inside Teams, creating a powerful, customized, and focused user experience. Users can share documents from multiple places, and they can create their own personal space that they can align to their needs and their team’s priorities.

Secure Collaboration

Security should go beyond the devices, endpoints, and apps an employee uses and protect the content they create, which can contain sensitive corporate data. New capabilities in Citrix Analytics automatically change permissions on shared file links to read-only when excess file sharing is detected. Security teams can also take advantage of deeper integration of Citrix Analytics with our DaaS session recording capabilities, shortening the time needed to investigate security events. We also have enhanced our third-party integrations with the Citrix Analytics app for Splunk, which enables you to see all the data, dashboards, and insights from Citrix Analytics in your Splunk instance.

Chrome OS and Citrix Workspace for Contact Centers

Organizations everywhere shifted thousands of contact center workers to remote work at the onset of the pandemic. To support that, in collaboration with Google, we shipped Chrome OS devices with Citrix Workspace app pre-provisioned, so they could transition easily and serve customers without interruption. With the secure Chrome OS endpoint, along with the secure, seamless access to any app that Citrix Workspace provides, organizations can drive a better contact center employee experience and customer experience.

Citrix Workspace App Builder

Citrix Workspace brings together multiple systems of record into streamlined workflows that help employees cut down on context switching and stay productive. Now, with our new Citrix Workspace App Builder, we’re enabling Citrix Workspace to be the system of record for key use cases, including employee communications, surveys, COVID-19 self-certification and more.
