Halloween 2021: Your guide to haunted walks, pumpkins and more in Naples, Marco, Bonita

The pandemic all but ended Halloween fun in 2020, but many events from 2019 have returned this year in Collier and south Lee counties.

Many events begin in early October and continue through the month, so it's time to get your spook on and enjoy family and adult fun.

Here's a list of events. If you have an event not shown that you want to share, please email features@naplesnews.com with the information in the format for happenings below and we will add it.

North Naples Church Pumpkin Patch: All day Friday, Oct. 15, through Sunday, Oct. 31, at North Naples Church, 6000 Goodlette-Frank Road, Naples. Pumpkins of all sizes, corn stalks, and gourds will be available for purchase. 239-593-7600. nnchurch.org

Farmer Mike’s Haunted Corn Maze and Fall Festival: Farmer Mike's gets spooked up with various monsters and ghouls for this seventh annual fest, including a haunted corn maze with zombie paintball, a family-friendly “Amazing Honeybee Corn Maze,” bounce houses, crafts, vendors, a pumpkin patch and more. Every Friday through Sunday, Oct. 1-31. The haunted corn maze takes place Fridays and Saturdays, Oct. 9-30. Tickets are available online only this year and are available in 30-minute slots. Bonita Springs YMCA family open house: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9. Bonita Springs YMCA, 27200 Kent Road, Bonita Springs. Halloween-themed games, prizes, bounce house, family Zumba, photo booth, costume contest, arts and crafts, Cositas Gourmet food truck and more. Parents and children encouraged to dress up in Halloween costumes and trick or treat at each activity station. Free. "Haunted Tales of Southwest Florida": 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 14. Marco Island Center for the Arts, 101 Winterberry Drive, Marco Island. An evening of ghost storytelling for adult audiences that focuses on haunted legends of Southwest Florida, from Sarasota to Naples. Enjoy a glass of wine while discovering the reason things go bump in the night. $10. Register at marcoislandart.org. Information at 239-394-4221

Children's Halloween programs: 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 16. Marco Island Center for the Arts, 101 Winterberry Drive, Marco Island. Make your own Trick or Treat Bag from 9:30am –10 a.m. followed by age appropriate ghost stories. Ages  9-13 – "Top Ten Ghostly Legends,"  with Christopher Balzano of Tripping on Legends; ages  5-8 – fun ghost stories – with Martha Horror (aka Gina Sisbarro) of Marco Mystery and History Ghost Tours. $5. Register at marcoislandart.org. Pioneer Pumpkin Palooza: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22, and Saturday, Oct. 23, at Immokalee Pioneer Museum, 1215 Roberts Ave. W. Participate in a fun scavenger hunt, maze, and Halloween movies. Scan the grounds for a hidden pumpkin and get your own one to take home. Conclude the day with a nice hayride throughout the grounds. colliermuseums.com

Fall Fest: 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 30. Paradise Coast Sports Complex, 3940 City Gate Blvd N., Naples, FL 34117. Venture Church Naples and Paradise Coast Sports Complex have organized a free family event with activities, food trucks, inflatables,  trick or treating for the kids and much more. Halloween Fun — Mask Making for Kids: 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 30, at the Marco Island Historical Museum, 180 S Heathwood Drive. Masks are important to many cultures, including the Calusa. We will talk about how masks were used by the Calusa and how we use masks today. Then create your own masks for Halloween fun. Suggested ages are 5 to 12. colliermuseums.com

Koreshan State Park Trunk or Treat: Local businesses and organizations hand out treats to the kids and offer various games. Plus street food, arts, crafts, and more. Noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30. Spooktacular Night at the Estero Park: This Halloween event starts with trunk or treating for the kids from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30. Children are encouraged to wear costumes and walk from vehicle to vehicle to see the trunk decorations and collect treats. Awards will be given out for the best-decorated trunks/vehicles. After that, the PG-rated Scooby-Doo movie “SCOOB!” will be shown on an outdoor screen at 7:15 p.m. Free admission. Blankets and chairs are encouraged. Halloween at Flamingo Island Flea Market: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, at the flea market, 11902 Bonita Beach Road SE, Bonita Springs. Enjoy family fun, a costume contest, a pet costume contest, decorated vendor booths, decorated car trunks with trick-or-treating, and more. WonderWeen: Families can come trick or treat at The Wonder Gardens and check out its various animals and attractions while they’re visiting. Hallowine: 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27, at Mercato, 9118 Strada Place, Naples. The Naples Gulf Shore Rotary Club's annual Hallowine Wine Walk through Mercato. Enjoy a spooky evening filled with delicious food & wine from select Mercato restaurants, a costume contest, raffle drawings & a photo booth.
