Comings and Goings in Franklin County: Noodles served, vintage goods, pizza and hiring news

New and exciting businesses are opening across the county with many more to open in the future.  Here is the latest on new and expanding businesses in Franklin County.

Warehouse expanding workforce

The workforce at the ADUSA Distribution facility on Commerce Avenue in Antrim Township continues to grow. There are currently about 500 associates at the distribution center, and ADUSA recently hosted a career fair, looking to add 100 warehouse workers and up to 50 truck drivers.

The 1.1-million-square-foot ADUSA Distribution facility in the Greencastle-Antrim Development Corp. industrial park serves Food Lion stores in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia and Delaware.

New hires can make up to $30.33 per hour depending on experience, and drivers can make starting salaries of $85,000, according to a news release from the company. Ahold Delhaize USA is the retail group that owns Food Lion, Giant Food, The GIANT Company (GIANT and MARTIN'S), Hannaford and Stop & Shop. ADUSA Distribution LLC is its distribution company.

New store offers vintage goods

A grand opening of Gather Vintage Co. will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 1 and 2, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 3, in their converted horse barn at 4133 W. Weaver Road outside of Greencastle.

The store features household goods from kitchen furniture to wall hangings and everything in between. Gather Vintage Co. will also be open the first weekend in November, as well as the last weekend for Black Friday and Shop Small Saturday.

Nikki's is now open in downtown Waynesboro.

Noodles and dumplings in Waynesboro

Nikki's Ramen and Noodle Bowls is now open at 22 W. Main St. in downtown Waynesboro.

The theme of the new restaurant is ramen noodle dishes as well as dumplings and several appetizer options. This is the second Waynesboro restaurant opened by Nikki Lim of Sapporo Japanese Restaurant in the square.

Ledo Pizza is now open in Chambersburg serving a variety of food options.

Pizza and pasta in Chambersburg

In Chambersburg, Ledo Pizza has been open and serving the greater Chambersburg area for a few weeks. The restaurant is located at 1300 Lincoln Way East, and serves a variety of pasta, pizza, salad, wings and sub options.
