Minnesota corn harvest 10 days ahead of average

The corn harvest in Minnesota is pacing about a week and-a-half ahead of normal.

USDA’s latest crop progress report says with 10 percent harvested, this year’s pace is 10 days ahead of the five-year average and five days ahead of last year.

The soybean harvest is 30 percent complete, one day faster than 2020 and a week ahead of average.

The harvest of dry beans is 72 percent complete, 59 percent for potatoes, sunflowers are 3 percent harvested, and sugarbeets reached 11 percent harvested.
