Meet America's newest citizens who took their oath in Ventura Tuesday

A group of 14 people from seven countries became U.S. citizens in a ceremony Tuesday at Channel Islands National Park's visitors center in Ventura.

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services event was organized to coincide with Constitution Day and Citizenship Day. The group in Ventura was among 21,000 new citizens in 335 naturalization ceremonies across the country between Sept. 17 and Sept. 23.
