Minnesota harvest pace beating 2020 and 5-year averages

The corn harvest is off to an early start in Minnesota.

USDA’s latest weekly crop report says with six percent harvested, the pace is more than a week ahead of a year ago and nearly two weeks ahead of the five-year average.

Soybeans are also being harvested, with 11 percent combined compared to six percent last year and 5 percent normally.

Sugarbeets are 10 percent harvested, potatoes are at 41 percent, and the dry edible bean harvest is 52 percent complete.
