USC's team plane tips backward on tarmac en route to play Washington State

A plane carrying the USC football team and staff tipped backward on the tarmac as they were making their way to Saturday afternoon's game against Washington State.

The team plane was sitting on the tarmac after arriving at its destination and suddenly tipped backward, causing the nose of the plane to go into the air.

Some members of the program were still on the plane when the incident occurred, but many were already off the plane. Everyone else exited the plane without incident once it was secure.

USC fired its head coach Clay Helton on Monday after the Trojans were blown out at home against Stanford. Donte Williams was named the interim coach. The last time the Trojans visited Pullman, Washington, to face the Cougars they left with a 30-27 loss in 2017.
