Colbert has a piece of advice for Trump ahead of the upcoming 'Justice for J6' rally at the US Capitol
Stephen Colbert has a bit of unsolicited advice for former President Donald Trump regarding how he can spend his upcoming weekend.
For those who missed it, Trump recently released a statement defending Capitol rioters as they prepare to head back to the federal building for the "Justice for J6" rally scheduled for Saturday, September 18.
“I'm all for justice for the people who attacked the Capitol on Jan. 6," said Colbert. “Have they locked up the main guy who started the whole thing yet? His name's on the tip of my tongue ― and it tastes terrible."
Colbert noted Trump's stance on the upcoming rally and the reason he insists on not attending. According to the former president, the rally may be a "setup" that the media will use against him at all cost.
Colbert agreed with the former president and offered him a bit of advice.
“Yep. He's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't," Colbert said. “The point is, he can go to hell."
