McDonald's Disney toys arrive in Happy Meals to mark Disney World's 50th anniversary

For a limited time starting Tuesday, the fast-food chain is featuring 50 new toys of iconic characters to celebrate Walt Disney World's 50th anniversary. The toys will be in kids' meals at participating restaurants nationwide.
"From cheery Olaf to the unforgettable Mickey Mouse, each Happy Meal will feature one of 50 different figurines of fan favorite Disney characters from over the years, while supplies last," McDonald's said in a statement.
McDonald's also will host a contest where 25 families will win a vacation to the 50th Anniversary Celebration at the Orlando, Florida theme parks.

From Sept. 25 through Oct. 1, customers who order a Happy Meal with "Mobile Order and Pay" in the McDonald’s App will be automatically entered for the chance to win. There will also be a way to enter without a purchase at Magicatmcd.com.
Each prize includes:
- a five-day, four-night vacation for the winner and three guests to Walt Disney World Resort
- round-trip, economy-class air travel
- four nights’ hotel accommodations; up to four four-day Theme Park tickets, valid for all four theme parks: Magic Kingdom Park, Epcot, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom Park
- $750 total in Disney Gift Card eGifts
- a check for $3,460.
The winners will be selected in a random prize drawing on or about Oct. 14 and will be notified via email. The trip must be taken by Dec. 15, 2022.
The Happy Meal celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2019 with the return of its most popular toys. The first McDonald's kids' meals were introduced in the U.S. in June 1979 as the Circus Wagon Happy Meal.
Many of the early toys featured McDonald's McDonaldland characters, including Grimace, the beloved purple mascot presumed to be a taste bud.
