Two words: zero ransomware. According to my recent guest, Richard Achee of the Chrome OS Technology Partners team at Google, there have been ZERO reports of ransomware on Chrome devices. That’s right!!

(Insert classic spit take from your favorite comedy.)

That made me pause and ask him to say it again because it’s that remarkable.

On this episode of Between the Clouds, Richard and I discuss a myriad of topics in addition to ransomware. We take a quick stroll down memory lane about how Citrix Workspace was the first enterprise app available on Chrome, and we also discuss the obvious growth of work from home during the pandemic. But what was surprising (but really shouldn’t have been) is that this work-from-home model is being adapted in industries that I hadn’t considered, like healthcare.

Now, I’m no stranger to the benefits of Chrome OS and Chrome devices. I use them. I love them. I have them in every corner of my house. The setup is so quick and easy, and the management so robust. Richard tells me of customers who are shipping thousands of devices out to employees and all they need to do is boot up, authenticate, and start working. Citrix Workspace is immediately available because of the policies configured through the Chromebook Management Console, which of course is integrated with Citrix Endpoint Management.

Tune in and listen for yourself, but don’t drink anything while you’re watching. You might have a spit take of your own.
