Windows 11 – Improved Snipping Tool

August 5, 2021

Microsoft is dribbling out more details about Windows 11 features and when we may see the new operating system. How-To Geek reported on Microsoft’s recent video describing what the new Snipping Tool will look like in Windows 11. It appears that there will be enhanced edition options as compared to the Windows 10 version. The released video shows what we can expect with the “classic tool” and “new experience.”

The betting money is that Microsoft is merging the functions of the Snipping Tool and Snip & Sketch for the Windows 11 delivery. As expected, once you capture a screenshot, you’ll be able to crop, draw, highlight and make various changes. It’s hard to say if the Snipping Tool in Windows 11 will replace any of the third-party tools for users. From what I’ve seen so far, I’ll stick with Snagit for the foreseeable future.
