August 09, 2021Frontpage videosEven with the Delta variant surging in the United States, some Republicans are afraid to say or do anything that might offend anti-vaxxers in their party. Rep. Glenn Grothman of Wisconsin obviously didn't want to reveal his vaccination status when a reporter asked him about it over the weekend.
The 66-year-old Grothman gave an evasive response, telling the reporter, "I don't like to get into taking sides on it, OK?"

The Wisconsin Democratic Party, in response, circulated an online petition urging Grothman to take a stand in favor of vaccination.
Here are some responses to Grothman's evasive response to the reporter's question:
Who wants to tell him the virus has no problem taking sides. It will choose him quite handily.— Alison Berkowitz (@Alison Berkowitz) 1628449684
He's vaccinated and has an opportunity to share that with his constituents and save lives...and money. Instead of being heroic, he tries to walk some murky middle ground. He doesn't have the courage or moral fiber to be a true leader.— Yvonne Left (@Yvonne Left) 1628462230
"I'm to weak to own and defend my opinions and choices but I'm perfectly fine accepting a paycheck from taxpayers to make decisions on their options."— justadayortwo (@justadayortwo) 1628537346
Still embarrassing Wisconsin, but now on the national stage — and with life-threatening consequences, to boot. Mother must be so proud.— Dr. Sarah T. Roberts (@Dr. Sarah T. Roberts) 1628449072
What do you think of drunk drivers?
Oh now wouldn’t want to take sides on that one good people on both sides there’s that baby killed sure but then there’s that young white guy had some drinks after a hard day. You need to stop all these gotcha questions I’m just a simple man.— Pickle & Son (@Pickle & Son) 1628462942
Taking sides. Sure. When there's a raging, deadly pandemic and a vaccine to protect against the worst of it, taking a side against the shot would probably be political malpractice for an elected official. No?— Janet Linde (@Janet Linde) 1628457886
