80% of Ohio corn, 74% of soybeans rated good to excellent

The USDA says crop conditions improved last week in Ohio.

Ninety-eight percent of winter wheat is harvested, slightly behind the one-year and five-year average. 

Eighty percent of the state’s corn conditions is in good to excellent condition. Eighty-eight percent of corn is silking, and 28 percent is in the dough stage.

Seventy-four percent of soybeans are rated good to excellent. Eighty-five percent of soybeans are blooming, and 53 percent are setting pods.
