[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] This is a good beauty week – I have so many great things to show you – next up is O-Bloos Rosi Drops Blush from Drunk Elephant. I know there has been controversy with this brand over the years but I like them more and more for their creativity around products – the ability to take something fairly ordinary like a liquid blush and elevate it in terms of both looks and formula into something utterly desirable is very impressive. I’m sure that O-Bloos Rosi Drops Blush is their first foray into make up and I am very much hoping it won’t be their last. I would love to see some tinted balms from them and I’d put money (a little bit :-)) on that being next.

What you get from O-Bloos Rosi Drops Blush is a creamy peachy pink hit that’s sheer on the skin while adding a glow element. It’s a universal shade – I don’t think there is any skin tone that won’t get something from this from the very palest to the very deepest. Drunk Elephant has used sapanwood bark as a vegan alternative to carmine which when blended with iron oxides gives a blush shade.

As with many make up products now, the base for the colour has a skin care element in the form of antioxidants and omega fatty acids. For me, I don’t mind whether a good make up product has defined skin care elements or not but if you are conscious about what you put on your complexion, they’ve thrown in a vitamin mix as well. These will matter if you have dry skin in particular and find powders difficult.

I’ve tested this across the weekend for last and I’d say it’s pretty good. But, that will depend a lot on the conditions – with a heat wave predicted, it’s a big ask for any make up to stay put in the face of sweat and SPF and that hot weather thing we do of putting our hands to our faces saying, ‘god, it’s boiling’! For me, there was still a glowy tint detectable by the end of the day when the light hit but I feel safer saying you may need to touch up when the heat is on.  O-Bloos Rosi Drops Blush is completely weightless – you will forget that it is there – and you only need the tiniest amount. A little dot diffused with a fluffy brush will give you exactly the right level of tint and sheen. SpaceNK has this for £24 when it is normally £30 – no idea why. Because a little goes a long way, I’d say grab it while you can at this price. It’s HERE, non affiliate HERE.
