A dry start to the week with warming temperatures through Wednesday | San Diego Forecast

Expect days of a mostly clear sky through Wednesday. Temperatures will respond by warming above seasonal. It'll be cooler and cloudier on Thursday.

SAN DIEGO — Following a wet, cold and breezy weekend around San Diego County, we will transition toward sunshine and warmer temperatures through the middle of the week.

A ridge of high pressure will be the main influence over Southern California this week, which will yield dry skies and mild temperatures. The warmest days of the week should be Tuesday and Wednesday. We'll see more spring-like weather over the next six to 10 days as the jet stream gets pushed to the north.

AT THE COAST:

High surf has returned. The peak will be on Wednesday and Thursday with sets to 6 feet. There will also be a high risk of rip currents during this time frame. If you are not a skilled swimmer, you are advised to stay out of the water. Also remember, it is always best to swim near lifeguards.

High pressure will be our main weather maker through Wednesday. By Thursday, a weak disturbance will sweep through the region. This will bring a slip in temperatures and more clouds. Thursday will be a mostly cloudy day with a little more afternoon sunshine into the start of the weekend.
