95% of Ohio soybeans are planted

The USDA says adequate conditions for crop progress continued last week in Ohio.

According to the latest crop progress and condition report, 72 percent of the state’s corn crop is in good to excellent condition. Ninety-four percent of the crop has emerged.

Ninety-five percent of soybeans in Ohio are planted, and 86 percent of the crop has emerged. The crop condition rating held steady and 71 percent of soybeans are in good to excellent condition.

Seventy-seven percent of winter wheat is in good to excellent condition.
