Texas AG Ken Paxton under investigation by state bar over 'professional misconduct'

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton (R) is now being investigated by the State Bar of Texas over his failed post-election lawsuit to overturn President Joe Biden's win.

According to the Associated Press, the investigation focuses on Paxton's botched lawsuit to the U.S. Supreme Court. The frivolous failed legal effort is being seen as an unethical violation of professional standards.

In documents obtained by Law & Crime, Kevin Moran, the president of the Galveston Island Democrats, filed a complaint back in December as he expressed concern about Paxton's seemingly politically motivated actions.

Moran argues that he "committed misconduct by filing a frivolous lawsuit."

"Paxton tried to disenfranchise millions of voters in those four states," Moran told Law&Crime. "According to some statistics, that's ten percent of all the voters in the United States. He wanted to take away and dump their votes. Ten percent of all the voters in the country. And it wasn't even his state. It's crazy."
