[unpaid/sample] The second of my Lisa Eldridge posts focuses on lips – I’ve got two of the Embrace Glosses and two of the Luxuriously Lucent Lip Colours.
I was chatting with a beauty friend yesterday saying that there seems less enthusiasm about new beauty launches than there used to be but this collection is very much the exception. I’ve had comments on Instagram from people saying they can’t wait to get their orders and that they’re so excited to try them – it just goes to show that if you get it right, word spreads and curiosity builds. Both the lipsticks and the glosses are spot-on right – easy, wearable and versatile.
The pink gloss is called Charm – it’s a creamy, baby pink that gives me 60’s vibes and looks amazing with a bit of kohl and mascara on the eyes. I wore it yesterday and again today because it just seems to suit my mood. The neutral shade is Affair, a toffee-ish colour that looks the right side of dark caramel on the lip.
The Luxuriously Lucent Lip Colours fall somewhere between balm and lipstick. They’ve a little bit of translucency so they’re not a big smack of pigment but colour enough to make the impression. I love the soft, buttery texture that feels melty and cushiony – I really wasn’t expecting that at all. On the left is Kitten Mischief and on the right is Rose Official. The lipsticks and the glosses are available HERE on pre-order. Lip Colours are £26 and Glosses are £18.
From top to bottom: Charm, Affair, Rose Official and Kitten Mischief. I’d love to see an illuminating balm for skin from Lisa – I’ve been using Bobbi Brown’s Illuminating Moisture Balm and enjoying it all over again and given how seamless the blushes are it would be great to have something underneath that compliments that formula. I feel really happy these products are getting the attention they deserve. They’re thoughtful, meticulous and effective.

I think Lisa has got the colour choices exactly right, they all seem to be beautiful, wearable colours. I’m looking forward to receiving mine, that’s for sure!
Exactly – everyone is seeing something for them.
Her products are just so hard to get. You blink, you miss them. I don’t think I’ve ever been able to get one. On the one hand I’m glad that she’s not churning out piles and piles and piles but on the other hand, I would like to at least try them!
I know – it’s the one mailing list I’m happy to be on as a head’s up. I did actually pre-order a blush but they got in touch and send they’d like to send for me to show readers so they kindly cancelled it. I mean you just have to go straight away – as soon as the email drops.
Loving your Lisa reviews, thanks so much – I’m even more excited for my order to arrive now if that’s possible! I went for Dante’s Dream in the blush but I’ll be waiting to snap up Pink Soap the minute it restocks – it looks lovely on you.
Those are both great choices!
Loving Charm on you!
thank you!
I am being extremely mindful of what I buy, but anything from Lisa is definitely my exception! I was on the website at 4pm on pre order day! I can’t think of any other brand I would do that for. She is so experienced, classy and her colour palettes are all wonderful. Other brands take note!
Exactly – there is a lot to learn from her.
The Rose Official colour looks less bright than I thought it would which makes me want to buy it lol. Emma x
yes, it’s quite a subdued tone. Very pretty.
It was my birthday the other day so I thought I would just check Lisa’s site on the off chance that the glosses and highlighters might be back in stock and happily many were so I have ordered lipstick, gloss and highlighter – after months of buying barely anything at all!! So looking forward to getting my hands on my self-gifted birthday goodies 🙂
Oh that’s fabulous! a) happy birthday and b) hope you enjoy your goodies 🙂
