High-school graduation season kicks off this week in Franklin County: See photos here

It's been a crazy school year amid the COVID-19 pandemic, but Franklin County students in the Class of 2021 are about to emerge on the other side as high-school graduates. 

Graduation season kicks off this week for the county's school districts. Commencement ceremonies will be in-person and, save for masks and social distancing, back to normal. 

Here is a list of when local public schools will graduate their seniors. Keep in mind that for most of these, only ticket holders may enter the door/gate. Outdoor ceremonies may be affected by inclement weather.

Franklin Learning Center

Franklin Learnin Center graduated 10 students on Wednesday, May 26. 

The Franklin Learning Center, located in Chambersburg, serves students ages 3-21 who have special needs through its special education programs including autism support, emotional support, life skills support and multiple disabilities support. It is jointly owned by Chambersburg Area, Fannett-Metal, Greencastle-Antrim, Tuscarora and Waynesboro Area school districts. 

Chambersburg Career Magnet School

Seniors from this award-winning high school in Chambersburg Area School District graduated on Thursday, May 27.  

The Career Magnet School prepares students in grades 9-12 for careers in science, technology, engineering and math. 

Chambersburg Area Senior High School

After the ceremony was postponed due to weather Friday, nearly 400 students graduated on Saturday, May 29. 

Waynesboro Area Senior High School 

Approximately 300 students are set to graduate on Tuesday evening, June 1. 

James Buchanan High School 

Located in Tuscarora School District in the Mercersburg area, the school graduated around 150 students on the evening of Friday, June 4. 

Fannett-Metal High School

A few dozen students are set to accept their diplomas on Friday evening, May 28. 

Greencastle-Antrim High School

The Greencastle-Antrim High School Class of 2021 graduated during commencement ceremonies on June 5.

Shippensburg Area Senior High School

About 250 students graduated on Tuesday, June 8, but the ceremony was cut short due to rain.
