As part of my series on places to stay with hot tubs in the UK, here’s my latest round-up of hot tub lodges in Devon. There are some absolutely stunning places to stay here, from luxury group retreats to cute cabins for two. All have hot tubs, mostly with epic views of the surrounding countryside.
So pick your favourite and before you know it, you could be sipping some bubbly in the tub after a day exploring Devon. Doesn’t that sound dreamy?

12 Best Devon Lodges with Hot Tubs
The Old Apple Store, Ilfracombe
I first caught sight of the The Old Apple Store on Instagram and was instantly sold by the hot tub and view of the Devonshire countryside. It’s in north Devon close to gorgeous beaches and cute villages – and is stylishly decorated throughout. It’s high on my staycation bucket list.
Would love to go there as part of one of these UK road trips. Or perhaps combine it with a trip to Watergate Bay or another stylish Cornwall family hotel.
What Plum Guide says: “The first thing to talk about with The Old Apple Store is the location. The beach at Lee Bay is a short walk away, through a charming Devon village where you can take your cream tea (cream first, you’re not in Cornwall). There’s also a great pub nearby, which we’d strongly recommend.
“If you’d rather stay at home though – perhaps if the water’s cold – you can make use of the hot tub on the deck, and while the kitchen is rather small, it’s well equipped, and more than enough to take over when you tire of eating out.”
Rogo, Holcombe Rogus
Rogo to the north-west of Dartmoor, is a cute one-bedroom cabin all fuelled by renewables. Two sides are entirely glass, offering beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. And there are plenty of ways to get cosy be in that in front of the wood burning stove or in the outdoor, covered hot tub.
What Plum Guide says: “This bright and gorgeous cabin is equipped with everything you need to relax and tune into nature, starting with the covered outdoor hot tub and a bright open-plan living space that will protect you from the elements.
“The nearby village of Holcombe Rogus has lots of beautiful nature to explore, but the city of Exeter is only a twenty-minute drive away if you want to spend an afternoon in a more urban environment.”
Tournesol, Shaldon
Tournesol is a wonderful family-friendly escape on the east coast of Devon, close to Shaldon and Torquay. Just five minutes from the beach and with lots of home comforts, the eco-home has underfloor heating, a gourmet kitchen and home entertainment systems. The outdoor, Swedish-style wood-fired hot tub has epic countryside views.
What Plum Guide says: “Surrounded by the peaceful half-acre garden, guests staying here are invited to spend a few relaxing days in the countryside, but without having to give up any luxuries or homely comforts. Felicity Orchard, Holcombe Rogus
Felicity Orchard is a lovely one-bed cabin in a huge private garden with stunning views. An ideal place to get cosy in the wintertime in front of the fire. And the outdoor hot tub is covered, so perfect come rain or shine.
What Plum Guide says: “You’ll be sharing your space with some beautiful flowering fruit trees, so you’re more than encouraged to grab an apple in the morning when the season is right.
“The insides are all open-plan so that you always have the best natural light, and in the evenings, you can curl up with a good book by the wood-burning stove when the weather is chilly. Nearby, you’ll find the beginning of the Grand Union Canal, which makes for a great walk.”
Gamekeeper’s Cottage
Gamekeeper’s Cottage is a pretty spot in the North Devon countryside and a perfect romantic retreat for two. From the Scandi-style hot tub with a view to the luxury bed linen, freestanding bath and Smeg fridge full of complimentary goodies, every detail has been considered.
The owners have their own woodland that you’re free to explore, plus there are hundreds of other nearby walks.
What Plum Guide says: “The hosts are among the most hospitable we’ve met and are happy to drop you off at a local pub if you fancy a glass of wine with your evening meal. If you decide to stay put however, a magical night awaits. Fire up the Ooni for the kind of pizza a Neapolitan would be proud of and follow it with a soak in the hot tub under the stars.
Corn Cabin, Bideford
This cute little roundhouse, the Corn Cabin, in North Devon is a quirky retreat for two. Guests also have access to a shared hot tub and a cosy barbeque cabin too.
What Plum Guide says: “Be sure to pack your best walking shoes because secluded coves, rocky cliffs, and long stretches of white, sandy beaches await you. We also recommend visiting the many picturesque villages and towns of the area, whether you want to pop in for a pub lunch or browse through the shops for great gift ideas and souvenirs, there’s plenty to do.”
Heather Bloom
Set in the North Devon Area of Outstanding Beauty, Heather Bloom is a fantastic farmhouse ideal for groups. There’s a covered outdoor hot tub, and a table tennis table too. The owners who live next door have horses and can arrange lessons on request.
Nearby attractions include the Tarr Steps, Ilfracombe beaches and Lynmouth’s unique cliff railway.
What Plum Guide says: “This renovated farmhouse has got ‘big family gatherings’ written all over it. We love the mix of social rooms, with interconnecting lounge areas providing both space and privacy. When you can bear to tear yourselves away from the home and grounds, this area of North Devon has plenty to discover.”
Eggshell
Eggshell is a cute hot tub lodge in Devon, situated in a private garden and surrounded by countryside. It has one bedroom and a full kitchen, making it a perfect space for two to enjoy a romantic self-catered stay. There are public footpaths and bridleways within walking distance, and many picturesque trails to follow within the surrounding area.
What Plum Guide says: “Make the most of the outdoor space at this home by enjoying al fresco meals on the decking area and treating yourselves to indulgent dips in the hot tub. Castaway
Castaway can be found in the charming village of Croyde with epic coastal views. It sleeps up to 10 people and is decorated to a high standard throughout, including a bunk room for kids. Woolacombe beach is a 15-minute drive away, and Saunton Sands and Croyde beach are even closer. There’s a hot tub in the backyard.

This architecturally exquisite home, The Early Risers, in Woolacombe has sleek interiors and fabulous views out to sea. It’s an unusual home for Devon, which makes it all the more special.
