Truck driver dies after medical event on I-96

WEBBERVILLE – A truck driver died Friday night after suffering a medical event on Interstate 96.
The 55-year-old Lincoln Park man was driving eastbound on I-96 near the M52 exit for around 9 p.m. Friday, Capt. Andrew Daenzer of the Ingham County Sheriff’s Office said in an email. The man later died at the hospital.
The sheriff’s office has not identified the driver.
The man’s semitruck brushed up against a guardrail during the crash but there was only minor damage.
