Second man charged in 2008 San Angelo shooting of Jordan Holden

SAN ANGELO — A second man has been arrested in the 2008 San Angelo shooting death of Jordan Holden, according to a San Angelo police news release.

Police have charged Raymond Andrew-Lee Rice, 32, of Allen, in connection to the former cold case. 

Police arrested Patrick Stewart Jr., 33, in Katy and charged him in connection to the case on April 27. He was a person of interest during the investigation and identified through "familial DNA" evidence, according to the release.

What we know about the death of Jordan Holden

Nearly 13 years ago in July 2008, a group of four friends arrived at a residence in West Harris Avenue, where they were ambushed by "armed intruders," records state. A struggle ensued and the friend who lived there called out for help.

Jordan Holden, 22, answered his friend's call and met gunfire as he rushed into the home. Another friend was shot in the leg, according to previous reports.

Police arrived to find Holden unresponsive. Though his friends survived, Holden was pronounced dead at the hospital. He left behind his girlfriend, who was 4 months pregnant at the time.
