Milk futures, cash dairy mostly lower

Milk futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange ended the week lower as the rally in the grain markets created spillover pressure along with declining cash markets. 

May Class III milk down eight cents at $18.82.  June down 12 cents at $18.90.  July down five cents at $19.22.  August down nine cents at $19.32.  September through November contracts five to 14 cents lower. 

Dry whey down $0.02 at $0.6275.   

Blocks down $0.0175 at $1.7475.  Seven trades were made from $1.73 to $1.76.   

Barrels down $0.0475 at $1.7275.  Two trades were made at $1.7075 and $1.7275. 

Butter up $0.0225 at $1.77.  Three trades were made from $1.76 to $1.77. 

Nonfat dry milk down $0.0225 at $1.3225.  Six trades were made from $1.3225 to $1.3350.
