Vintage Sewing Machine Notecards & Discovering the Janome Treadle Powered Sewing Machine 712T

The Vintage Sewing Machine Notecards by PetitePaperie are perfect for today’s blog post, especially with upcoming Mother’s Day this Sunday.

It is a joy to share I just discovered last night, and today took action on securing a Janome Treadle Powered Sewing Machine 712T! Who knew that one can buy a new treadle sewing machine in today’s world?!!  Of course it does not include the treadle; however, that is part of the fun, now scouring Craigslist for a treadle cabinet.  More on this later in today’s blog post.

The new Star Wars Droids Stamps began arriving yesterday, May 4th!

Vintage Sewing Machine Notecards

Over at Etsy, PetitePaperie, specializes in “Vintage Inspired Stationery, Note Cards, Stickers, seals, tags, instant digital downloads and collages” out of Trabuco Canyon, California.

You will find their set of Vintage Sewing Machine Notecards (4 ¼ x 5 ½ in) in either Cream/Light Ivory, or White for $14.00. The set of 10 includes matching envelopes, with the inside blank for personal message.

Furthermore, I’m seeing a wonderful range of other notecard designs, i.e. butterfly note cards set, vintage typewriter, Teacups. vintage camera, penny farthing bicycle, and vintage shoes!

Discovering the Janome Treadle Powered Sewing Machine 712T

The Janome Treadle Powered Sewing Machine 712T

What I’m most excited about this machine I have ordered, is it has all of the basic sewing functions that is all powered by a treadle!  Perhaps this is news to you too!

“The 712T allows you to sew with no electrical power. Designed for use by anyone who has a true Do It Yourself ethic, it has 10 utility stitches plus a built-in buttonhole stitch, and a flatbed design to fit existing sewing cabinetry. A treadle operated sewing table (not included) is required to run machine.”

In calling over to my local Janome dealer (Coastal Sewing & Appliance) today, I was able to have them order it for me. I’m delighted that even with tax their total was less than the MSRP for the Janome 712T and I will have local support.  The delivery is expected “sometime” in June 2021.

In addition, the list of optional accessories available for the 712T is amazing to me! If you have had on your wish list a treadle sewing machine, this may be a perfect match for you!
