One-fourth SD corn planted

Twenty-five percent of South Dakota corn has been planted, behind last year’s pace but ahead of the average.

Eight-percent of soybeans were planted as of Sunday.
Spring wheat planting is way ahead of last year and normal at 81% complete. Almost half has emerged.

Winter wheat condition is mostly fair to good.

Oat planting is ahead at 74%.

More than half of pasture and range conditions are poor to very poor.
