Milk futures mixed, cash dairy mostly higher

Near-term milk futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange showed slight pressure Tuesday while longer-term contracts traded higher along with most cash markets.

April Class III milk down two cents at $17.66.  May down eight cents at $19.20.  June up 10 cents at $19.52.  July up 10 cents at $19.58.  August through October contracts two to five cents higher.

Dry whey up $0.0150 at $0.66. 

Blocks unchanged at $1.80.  Eight sales were made from $1.7825 to $1.80.

Barrels up $0.0025 at $1.7975.  Four sales were made at $1.7859 and $1.80.

Butter up $0.0275 at $1.7975.  Eleven trades were made from $1.7975 to $1.83. 

Nonfat dry milk up $0.02 at $1.31.  Two sales were made at $1.31 and $1.32.
