Tyson plans to expand Arkansas poultry plant

Tyson Foods is investing $48 million to increase production capacity at its Pine Bluff, Arkansas poultry plant.  Tyson says the investment is part of its commitment to accelerate the long-term growth of the company’s poultry business.  The project will expand the plant’s fully-cooked processing lines and add automated processes to product packing lines.

Donnie King, with Tyson Foods, says the demand for convenient, high-quality chicken products continues to grow and Tyson is making investments in projects that meet the needs of customers and consumers.

The project is expected to be completed by late 2021 and nearly 70 jobs will be created by the project.
