Minnesota House passes Agriculture Bill

The Minnesota House of Representatives passed its Agriculture Bill today. House Ag Committee chair Mike Sundin tells Brownfield he’s very proud of the legislation.

“(like) The infrastructure buildout for fueling stations so we can accommodate the higher blends of ethanol.”

The Elko Democrat says the ag bill also supports the buildout of meat production across the state.

“It’s very necessary (because) we saw with the COVID situation we had a backlog of hogs, and if we can get a safety valve meat producers and some of the smaller producers step up, that would be terrific.”

Sundin says conference committees will start getting assembled next week to reconcile differences between House and Senate measures.
