Authorities identify passenger killed in Camarillo crash

Authorities have identified the woman killed in a crash at a Camarillo intersection Friday morning.

Pilar Pizarro, 78, was a Camarillo resident, the Ventura County Medical Examiner's Office said Saturday.

She was seated in the front passenger seat of a minivan that collided with a box truck at Mission Oaks Boulevard and Adolfo Road, according to the Ventura County Sheriff's Office, which provides police services in Camarillo. The accident was reported shortly after 8 a.m. Friday. Pizarro died at the scene.

An 85-year-old Camarillo man driving the minivan and a 27-year-old Oxnard man driving the box truck were taken to hospitals for treatment, authorities said. A passenger in the box truck suffered minor injuries, according to firefighters at the scene.
