Planting underway in Ohio

Planting is underway in Ohio, according to the latest USDA Crop Progress and Condition report.

Two percent of the state’s corn crop and one percent of soybeans are planted.  

Eighty-one percent of winter wheat is rated good to excellent.

Topsoil moisture is 83 percent and subsoil moisture is 75 percent adequate to surplus.
