Corn planting underway in Indiana

Corn planting is getting started in some areas in Indiana, according to the latest USDA Crop Progress and Condition report.

Two percent of the state’s crop is planted, compared to one percent last year.

Seventy percent of winter wheat is rated good to excellent.

Topsoil moisture is 87 percent and subsoil moisture is 79 percent adequate to surplus.
