South Dakota reports one new COVID-19 death, half of state has one dose of vaccine
South Dakota added one COVID-19 death in data released by the South Dakota Department of Health on Monday, as well as an additional 187 cases of the disease.
The death was a man aged 60-69, bringing the pandemic death toll to 1,947. Of those, 1,724 of the deaths have been confirmed as caused by COVID-19.
There are now a total of 2,425 active cases in the state, and 96 people are currently hospitalized with COVID-19.

There are 42.2% of the state's hospital beds available, along with 49.1% of the state's ICU beds.
The state has administered 500,996 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to 303,040 people, and more than 50% of the state's population has at least one dose of the vaccine.
