USDA extends QLA deadline

The USDA is extending the deadline for the Quality Loss Adjustment Program.

Farm Service Agency administrator Zach Ducheneaux says because of recent winter storms and program updates, USDA is providing five additional weeks for producers to apply for the program.

The QLA program assists producers whose eligible crops suffered weather related quality losses.

Instead of closing the application window on March 5th, farmers can now contact their FSA offices until April 9th.
