An angry Trump is complaining to his inner circle about Jared Kushner, insiders say

Last week, former President Donald Trump's allies were focused on the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) as they devised a plan for his return to politics, but amid their planning, one person was notably absent: Trump's son-in-law and former White House Senior Advisor Jared Kushner.

An editoral published by CNN highlights the stark change in Trump's relationship with his son-in-law. Still sulking over the election loss, Trump has reportedly been looking for someone to blame for his defeat and Kushner appears to be the person he is targeting. However, there appears to be opposition on both sides.

According to the publication, several individuals who worked closely with the former president and his son-in-law insist Kushner has "tapped out" and shifted his focus away from politics.

"Right now, he's just checked out of politics," said one person familiar with the situation. Kushner's actions reportedly appear to underscore his way of thinking: "being present for the wins and MIA from the losses," CNN reports.

While it is relatively normal for members of former administrations to branch out and do other things after leaving office, Kushner's abrupt change seems relatively questionable to some considering his deep family ties with Trump. It is also important to note how heavily involved Kushner was in his father-in-law's political affairs.

As one of Trump's senior advisors, Kushner covered a wide spectrum of government sectors including "domestic policy, foreign policy, staffing, speechwriting, national security, criminal justice reform, budget, COVID-19" and more.

"That's about as 180 a turn as he could ever make," said a third individual, who worked closely with Kushner in Trump's White House. "This was a guy who for four years did everything on behalf of President Trump. He lived that job."

Although Kushner has served in the capacity of Trump's chief strategist for quite some time, he is reportedly willing to see his son, Donald Trump, Jr., or Trump's former campaign manager Brad Parscale take on more responsibility. One person insists Kushner's distancing is typical behavior from those who tire of Trump's antics. That person said, "The drama of politics wore him down. Eventually, Trump wears everyone down," the person said.
