Ag innovators say huge ag tech explosion coming

Ag innovators who shared the evolution of their businesses with the AgriBusiness Council of Kansas City say NOW is the time for incredible ag technology developments.

Naeem Zafar, CEO of TeleSense in Silicon Valley which helps preserve and predict grain storage quality, says there’s a huge wave coming for agriculture through technology, “The new generation which is coming up, they are tech savvy and they want to do things differently than their dad did and their granddad did. This is an inflection point. Don’t ignore it. This is big.”

Matt Crisp, CEO of Benson Hill, a biotech start-up in St. Louis, says they’re open for business, looking for farmers and others across the value chain, “The convergence of technology in what we’re talking about in the food system will allow specialty to be scalable in the system.”

He says their company is at the doorstep of helping realize that ag innovation scale-up.

Zafar and Crisp were among the ag innovators on the Business Council’s Ag Innovation Forum.
