At this point of the year, we're well within winter's icy clutches. Whether you need something a bit warmer to sleep with or you're just sick of looking at your old, tired bedding, it's a great time to upgrade your comforter. As it just so happens, the Buffy Cloud down alternative comforter, which was named among the best comforters we've ever reviewed, is on sale at Bed Bath & Beyond for 50% off.

This discount drops it from $129.99 in a twin/twin XL size that's ideal for your kids' or guest room to as low as $64.99, while the full/Queen size is now $79.99 (save $80). Want to replace the comforter on your king-sized master bed? It's currently $99.99, down from its initial $199.99. Beyond+ members (sign up here for $29 annually) will save even more, with prices starting at just $51.99 for a total discount of up to 60%.

With a company tagline of "the most comfortable comforter ever made," this bedding made good on its promises in our tests. It was soft, fluffy and light and kept our reviewer at an ideal sleeping temperature all night thanks to the moisture-wicking, temperature-regulating fabric.

Buffy comforters have an airy, fluffy feeling that's akin to cotton candy.

Its 100% polyester filling includes recycled bottle material that will make you feel good about contributing to helping the environment. And, with a 300 thread count made from a cooling 100% eucalyptus Lyocell, it's hypoallergenic, so you can fend off allergens, mites, and other microbes. "It's one of those blankets that makes you want to hang out in bed all day," wrote our tester.

The loops in all four corners also allow you to easily connect ties from a duvet cover—something we'd recommend, as you can't machine wash the comforter itself.

Whether you want to treat yourself to some new bedding, encourage your child to sleep in their own room with a super-warm, cozy comforter or are looking to spruce up the guest room, this deal is one that's too good to pass up.
