We’re excited to announce availability of the new Citrix Launcher for Android Enterprise as part of our continued effort to deliver high-value features for Android Enterprise and Citrix Endpoint Management. The Citrix Launcher enables admins to customize and brand Android devices to provide deployment for single or multiple apps. The Citrix Launcher works for customers looking to lock down devices for kiosk deployments or to be shared among multiple users.

Let’s look at how to use the Citrix Launcher for Android Enterprise. In this example, an employee picks up the device and log on to the work application. They use the device to complete their tasks, then save their status in the app before logging off. A employee on the next shift repeats the same process without ever having access to the device OS.

We’ve also made it easy for admins to quickly exit Citrix Launcher with a secure administrative password so they can access the entire OS and manage the device as needed.

The screenshot above provides an example of when the Citrix Launcher completes its initial setup.

You can see from the screenshot above that the launcher is locking down access to the OS so that only the apps you want are displayed.

This screenshot above shows how easy and secure it is to exit the launcher if any OS changes are needed.

The video below shows the admin and user experience for the Citrix Launcher for Android Enterprise. In it, we break down each of the launcher’s policies and walk through a simple “how-to” demonstration on the Citrix Endpoint Management management console.
