A winning Mega Millions ticket worth $1 million was sold in Franklin County, according to the Pennsylvania Lottery.

The ticket matched all five white balls - 4, 26, 42, 50 and 60 - but not the yellow Mega Ball 24, drawn on Friday, Jan. 22.

The ticket was sold at the Sunoco at 1070 Wayne Ave., Chambersburg, according to a news release. The convenience store earns a $5,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

The Jan. 22 drawing is the one that produced a $1.05 billion winning ticket in Michigan, the second-largest prize in history.  The winner can choose annuity payments to get that estimated prize, or choose a lump sum of $776.6 million - before taxes, of course.

In Pennsylvania, 357,400 PA Lottery Mega Millions tickets won prizes of various amounts.

The next Mega Millions drawing is tonight, Jan. 26. The jackpot resets to an estimated annuity value of $20 million, or $14.7 million cash.

Ticket was third recent winner in region

Leading up to the drawings last week, the jackpots for the Mega Millions and Powerball games grew to more than $1.7 billion combined.

The winning Powerball ticket was sold nearby, in Allegany County, Maryland. The $730 million prize was the fourth largest in the game's history and the fifth largest in U.S. lottery history, USA Today reported. The winning numbers were 40, 53, 60, 68, 69 and Powerball 22.

In addition, a winning ticket worth $2 million was sold just over the state line in Washington County, Maryland. The AC&T convenience store at 11564 Hopewell Road, near Hagerstown, will get a $5,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
