Some people LOOOOOOVE Valentine's Day. And some don't so much. It used to be my absolute favorite holiday of the year. Hands down. No contest.
I know.
Better than Halloween?! Better than Christmas?!! How is that possible?
The answer is actually quite simple.
Runts Heart Candy.
They were the one and only love of my life until an absolutely crushing middle school break up when they stopped making them.
They were all the best parts of Runts candy without the other flavors that kind of burn your tongue if you eat more than half a piece.
They were literally the stuff my dreams were made of.
And even now, after all this time, I still find myself deep in online searches, just hoping to catch a glimpse of them. I mean, I'm not foolish enough to believe that they still think of me ever, but it would just be nice to know that they are still there, you know? That they somehow found happiness without me.
But also, secretly, if I did find them, I would buy 17 cases and hide them in my closet. And that makes me feel a little uncomfortable about myself if I'm being truly honest. So....maybe it's all for the best that we've gone our separate ways.
