Freezes will occur again Wednesday morning in the Southeast, extending as far south as northern Florida. Farther north, snow showers will largely end by mid-week across the lower Great Lakes region and the Northeast. Meanwhile, a disturbance emerging from the Rockies will produce variable amounts of mid-week precipitation across the central and southern Plains. Snow may accumulate, starting late Wednesday, in parts of southern Kansas and northern Oklahoma. Later, rain will return across the South, where 5-day totals could locally reach 1 to 2 inches. Toward week’s end, precipitation will spread into the East, with wet snow possible in the Appalachians and Ohio Valley. Much of the remainder of the country, including the upper Midwest and most areas west of the Rockies, will experience dry weather during the next 5 days.
